It wasn't long ago that Phillip and I were praying hard and seeking God with all that we had, longing to know what he wanted for our lives... what he wanted for our family. At the time it was difficult, there were only two options, one (the one we would had rather) was easy, it honestly wouldn't have taken a lot of faith. the second was hard, it took a lot of faith and lead us into a HUGE unknown area, it lead us into territory that we knew only God would be able to get us through.
We wrestled with both options, wanting to take the easier route because it wasn't as heart breaking. But we knew from the beginning that God was asking us to take the unknown way. To trust him, truly trust him... trust him with our future, with our family, with our lives, with EVERYTHING.
And we did and here we are today. We haven't questioned once whether we did the right thing. Whether we picked the right option. There has been more than one time the decision has been covered in confirmation. We can look back and say...
If we hadn't made the decision Phillip would have never been offered an incredible internship opportunity with the City of Temple. We didn't have to relocate temporarily, its a rare paid internship and it has offered him some great opportunities for experience. And Phillip wouldn't have been offered an INCREDIBLE job opportunity with the City of Temple following graduation.
I wouldn't have been able to add two days a week of work to my schedule and have Hope in a two day a week program where she is learning and thriving. I wouldn't be working where I am developing friendships with people I will hold dear to my heart forever.
It's not easy being in the center of God's will for our lives and family. We still fight a battle and fight to honor God with our words and actions but we know he loves our family and is he protecting us and bringing us so much father than we could have ever expected. He's blessing us with another sweet sweet bundle of joy and we couldn't be more excited to see where he continues to lead and guide our family.
