We asked Hope at the beginning of the summer what she wanted to do. Her response... go to the beach! So we've been trying to figure out where to go and when and plan it around my parents to see them and hit the beach all at the same time. They took their vacation time this past weekend and were camping about an hour from the beach so we planned on going there, spending the night, hitting the beach, then we dropped Hope back off at the camper and she stayed with my parents 3 nights and had a blast.
We all had so much fun at the beach. It's one of those great things to do once a year but that's about it. We're not die hard beach lovers and want to go often but the kids both had a great time. Archer rolled in the sand until he couldn't roll any more and Hope happily dug and built sand castle. Neither of them were too wild about the big waves but enjoyed sitting on the shore.

My brother brought his daughter too. We had so much fun with them and then she got to camp with Hope and my parents too.
