We have such great friends here. I've talked about our friends Ashton and Rachael a lot on the blog and their precious girl Ellasyn (who's 4 months older than Hope). They are becoming such SWEET sweet friends!! I've been so thankful for Rachael this holiday season. Both of us wanted to do advent stuff with the girls and to teach them the real meaning of Christmas but we didn't want to do it alone either and we weren't able to plan it all before advent started. So, we worked together at doing a couple of weeks worth of advent things.
The girls crafted a couple of mangers together and made a baby Jesus out of a sock wrapped in cloth. Tonight we celebrated Christmas and had the most delicious dinner ever. Seriously, Ashton can cook!! The girls made edible nativities, thanks Pinterest! For sure a tradition we will develop in our house. The girls exchanged gifts (princess play dough for Ellasyn and a crayola doodlebug bag for my girl)
