Guys, life has been completely insane and I have a few things that I could be doing but a girl needs a break every now and then so here we are. Besides who knows how long it would actually take me to get it all done if I didn't stop and do it.
We decided to celebrate 4th of July in Kansas. We hadn't been up there in almost a year and well we were missing it. Turns out Phillip's sister and her family in Indiana planned on the same thing and His brother from Oklahoma too. Good 'ol family reunion. :) His brother and his family that live in Kansas came for an evening too and his brother that moved to Canada stopped by too on his way to Oklahoma for business. So it really was a family reunion.
Hope has been super excited about going to Kansas since we told her we were going. I'm pretty sure she was convinced we were moving there. Moving and Kansas were related when, moving was done we were going to Kansas. Every time we asked her what we were doing she'd say "Moving to Kansas" Ha! Needless to say she was SUPER pumped when we actually left.
We left Thursday afternoon once Phillip got home from lunch. The kids did awesome traveling. It was Archer's first long trip and we generally travel during the day so a night time travel was a bit different but they were awesome. Despite the HORRIBLE traffic in Dallas. We seriously have awesome kids!
Ready to go!
1st trip to KS
Still going strong at 11:30 pm. We downloaded 3 episodes of Curious George onto the Kindle and she watched them continuously. She was so excited for Kansas she only took an hour nap traveling and was up until midnight, 30 minutes from Grampy's house.
Hope played outside the entire day of the 4th. She's an outside country girl for sure. She played in the play house, sand, checked out the horses, loved on Sammy (the dog), road the 4 wheeler with daddy, flew her kite (sort of). She did awesome considering she had a VERY late night. She even enjoyed fireworks that evening. It was her first 4th of July to celebrate in America. Strange thought! Her 1st was celebrated in Central Asia and her 2nd was in Honduras.
Playhouse play!

The next day we all went to Ft. Larnard, KS for a visit. We went last year (here) but it was fun to go again since they had kid activities planned. Hope got to make an art with different seeds, make a tussy mussy (flower holder thingy), hammer flowers onto a paper for the colors, and ride in the carriage. She had a blast. Archer slept the whole time.
We have a picture of her with this canon from last year

Proud of her tussy mussy, I can see us making these again.
Hope with the cache.
